Gutsy Kittler keen to show he's a good bet - (for the Pool room)

This article featuring our very own Paul Kittler appeared in the now defunct Western Mail in August 1987.

CHUN across Australia ....One for the Pool Room

I've got three great kids and I'm proud of all of them. They're all great in their different ways..but my son, Dave, has got some amazing sporting and physical achievements under his belt as this article which appeared (starting) on the front page of the North West Telegraph of July 2, 2003 tells us. Click on the images to see the larger version.

Dave had always used his bike as his main form of transport as a kid and still does. He did his first "big" ride from Perth to Sydney the year he turned 18 (2001) and by sheer coincidence I ended up going to Sydney for a business conference so we ended up doing the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb together to celebrate his birthday.

For a few years, every year he would take a few weeks off and complete another part of his journey around Australia. His biggest ride involved the complete distance between Perth and Brisbane via Darwin. Click here for a detailed log of the Perth to Brisbane ride.
